May 16, 2015

There was very little rain all spring until the guys wanted to install the underground electric service. Al and his team showed up early Saturday morning with a special excavator to dig the trench.

Al pulled the thick black and yellow electric cable from the street to the house. He also layed the co-ax cable for the cable service.

Once it was done, they connected the cable to the service box in the front yard and backfilled.

Despite the rain, it was a fun day because the guys gave me a chance to drive the excavator and dig some dirt. Here is the proof!

A few weeks later the garage door was installed. It’s a 16′ x 7′ Clopay Coachman door in the same canvas color as the windows. In addition to the standard remotes, it’s also wifi-enabled.

It’s a nicely insulated door. Here is the view from the inside.
